About the event

Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime marine science adventure! In partnership with the Guy Harvey Research Institute and Nova Southeastern University, Wake The Wild is taking students and families out on the water for a full-day shark tagging expedition.

You’ll step aboard with a team of professional marine biologists and conservationists as they conduct real shark research. Participants will:

  • Assist in catching, tagging, and releasing sharks safely

  • Learn about shark biology, conservation, and the role these apex predators play in the ocean ecosystem

  • Experience hands-on science in action — not from a textbook, but from the deck of a research vessel

This is more than just a field trip — it’s a chance to contribute to active conservation efforts and inspire a deeper appreciation for our oceans.
