About the event
Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime marine science adventure! In partnership with the Guy Harvey Research Institute and Nova Southeastern University, Wake The Wild and Surf Skate Science are taking students and families out on the water for a full-day shark tagging expedition.
You’ll step aboard with a team of professional marine biologists and conservationists as they conduct real shark research. Participants will:
Assist in catching, tagging, and releasing sharks safely
Learn about shark biology, conservation, and the role these apex predators play in the ocean ecosystem
Experience hands-on science in action — not from a textbook, but from the deck of a research vessel
This is more than just a field trip — it’s a chance to contribute to active conservation efforts and inspire a deeper appreciation for our oceans.
